A few weeks ago I sent some fabric up to Christine some underwater themed fabrics after she asked for some help to collect fabrics to make a special quilt for her grand daughter Sophie.  I was more than happy to contribute as I had fabric left over from other projects.  Today I received a thank you parcel from Christine - look at all the goodies she included!

 Love that aqua fabric, the chocolate brown is great and the coffee themed fabric looks like place mats or potholders to me.  PLUS a pattern and some label fabric.  And as if that were not enough Christine included some Rasant thread!  This is my current favourite thread and I don't usually have favourites but I can use this for quilting, sewing and it never seems to run out!  Love it - thanks Christine!

And I have another reason to thank Christine -she is going to quilt this top for me so that it can be donated to a very good cause.  Watch this space in future days because I am going to be asking for donations to help get a family back on their feet after losing everything in a house fire - everything!  How do you come back after that?   

Placemats, table runners, pot holders, tea towels, lap quilts. pillowcases, bags and so on.  I think we can help just a little by making them some things but I need a few more details yet so stay tuned.
